New technology for a New-generation- SUZUKI’S Manji M-20 represents the new state-of-the-art instrument for the most demanding professional player. The Manji is a 10-hole diatonic harmonica (often called the ‘blues-harp’). Over the past century, the 10-hole diatonic harp has developed a mature and established playing style, popularized by Blues greats such as Little Walter, Sonny Terry, and many others. But in recent times new playing techniques have been developed to achieve full chromatic ability, the 10-hole harmonica is in an exciting transition phase, being adapted to many different styles of music. Players’ performance styles have become diversified and their demands are now beyond the stock harmonica’s functions and capacity. Until now, only expensive hand-customized harmonicas have met their needs. Suzuki’s Manji M-20 meets the needs and desires of the most discriminate player.

These Suzuki Manjis are fully customized and setup to a solid stage 1 level for traditional blues, folk, and other popular styles of playing.  With good control of all draw and blow bends across the whole harmonica, vibrato friendly, rich tone and an even/ balanced response on all notes, then rounded out with accurate, strobe tuned- 19 limit Just Intonation tuning for smooth chords and melody playing.

Other custom features:  Full custom reed work, embossing, flattening surfaces, centering of reeds, profiling of reeds, gap optimizations and much more.

These Manjis have also all been upgraded with smoothed finished comb surfaces on the comb tines, and support posts for the cover plates.
